Cold Starting Kompressor
On my 99C230K I noticed its giving me in the mornings, 4-5 "shakes" when it fires and starts to run and is then smooth....I then noticed when It started to do that, that there is no more raspy, gurgling noise you are supposed to get with this engine when cold which im told is the kompressor turning on when cold to warm up and when it does occasionally I dont get that shaking hesitation. Now, the kompressor does work because it engages at 2000rpm (sounds like a AC compressor).
Could this be the air flap actuator by the air filter making it not come on when cold or a bad solder joint in the K40 unit I heard about before? Thanks so much need help!!
