1996 E 300 D console removal

Hi All!

I'm trying to replace the window switches in this car. Directions on getting the console out without breaking it would be greatly appreciated!

MIght try searching on W210 and center console.

Someone in the NG probably has the DVD which would give the details.

I found some info there. Thanks. I don't think mine can be removed that way. Seems to be for an older model. Anyone else?

Fyi

I found out how. Just pull on the dang thing REAL hard and hope it doesn't break. I could not believe how hard I had to pull. Has some little friction clips that keep it in place. They don't really latch on anything but my mechanic says you do a "P&P"........pull and pray it doesn't break.

Put down the cup holder cover, and place your hand between it and the console. Pull up gently. It should come off real easy. Just beware of the wires connecting it to the computer.
