has me baffeled
HI
I recently purchased a 1 owner 85 500 sel. 105k After replacing the modulater valve the car runs perfectly. However it has a problem that has be baffeled. It uses no oil however after a hard full stop or stoping after running down hill it puts out a real cloud of oil smoke, enough to make the cars behind dissapear. The oil has just been changed and appears to be at the right level on the stick. Ever heard of anything like this Last edited by exchoice; 10-29-2005 at 05:29 PM. Reason: spelling |

Sounds like your Modulator valve on the Trans is defective (New or Not), pull hose off of it and if there is ANY fluid in it ,then it is defective...

problem solved
This problem turned out to be a bad vacuum valve on the front of the engine
sucking oil out of the left valve cover. Car idles much better and is way more responive. God what a releif. |
