Roll Bar/Convertible top problems on '94SL

I have already spent $500 trying to solve the problem regarding the roll bar popping up when driving over bumps and/or around corners. It was happening intermittently and the techs could not find the problem. Now it occurs EVERY time I go over a bump or turn quickly. I do not want to spend another $500 unless I know that this can be fixed FOR SURE. Also my soft top will go up (or down) and then refuse to reverse the operation. This is also intermittent. Any suggestions or thoughts on this?

I have heard of this problem being related to the sensors on the rear suspension... Seems if they foul up, the roll bar thinks the car is rolling. I fyou have spent the money with a MB or competent mechanic, I would think they already eliminated this as a problem, but who knows... Did the computer store a code?

'94 SL Roll Top

Thanks Walrus....I'll check on that code with techs. Hopefully now that it is happening frequently they will be able to solve the problem.
