My wiper extension feature recently stopped working, i've done everything but smash this case to get it open but it's been horribly stubborn.
I've taken out every screw and bolt i could find, pounded, hammered, punched, kicked, and screamed. I took the 19mm nut off and a clip which made it give about half an inch, but it still stays. I think the problem is the golden (bronze, whatever) bracket that attachs to the driveshaft, it won't come off so the arm can't come through and open up.

Also i've searched these forums and found every thread in relation to this and what directions there i followed but still i can't figure it out. Please be as detailed as possible, thanks
