Troubleshooting a starting problem - next step?

1993 400E with 160,000 miles
I had the wiring harness replaced last year and no problems from that, that I know of.
It just wouldn't start one morning, it's in my driveway.
Here are the things that I have checked so far. I'm limited somewhat to the top because I only have a car jack to work with.
The battery is charged and the cable connections are good. (Battry is in the trunk.)
When I try to start it there is no noise that comes from the bottom of the car. There is a slight click that comes from the right front which I don't think is related to the starter, although I don't know what it is.
The headlights don't dim when I try to start it.
The cigar lighter works.
I have recycled the door locks and that doesen't help.
I have moved the shifting lever arround in both park and netural and nothing happens.
Can antbody guide to the next step?
Thanks in advance.
