help- Only getting a little heated airflow to floor
First, the other night I have hard to switch heat fan settings. Today the fan buttons are back to normal, but I noticed that I'm not getting much heated air down at my feet, even w/fan on High, at any heat/ac setting. Just a fairly low flow of air in footwell or from side of center hump, while most of the air seems to be going out the dash registers or to the windshield. Heat is o.k., not sure if it's as hot as it's supposed to get at Max, though...
I got cold feet. What needs fixin here? And could this be related to this bouncy squeak I've been hearing from behind the center or center/Rt area of the dash? What's causing this noise behind dash of W124? (is there a Frozen emoticon?) |

Not sure what kind of car you have but in my 86 300E that same problem was associated with a failed vaccum servo (located behind the radio deep in the dash). Turns out the rubber baffel was cracked on the servo which made opening of the floor vents rather difficult. I replaced it with a used one for $10 and all has worked fine the past 3 years... good luck!
