fr8dpp33 IS the latest plug recommended by mb. call any dealer and have them look up the part number for any 112/113 motor and it will sub to 003-159-94-03. then ask them to open the box. voila! bosch plug and # FR8DPP33! i read your attachment and it did not have FR8DPP33 in the listing. i have a copy of the latest EPC from MBUSA on spark plugs as of MAY06. see attachment.

Interesting. I don't pretend to know a whole lot about ignition systems. It looks like MB is approving the use of resistive plugs in systems designed for non-resistors. Since these are interchangeable, is there any reason to prefer one type over the other? Performance? Service life? Price? Beru plugs are still available as non-resistor. Is there any reason to choose them over the less expensive Bosch resistor type? I asked my dealer and they use the Berus.
I would like to open the attachment but I can't see it.

not intimately familiar with why the newer one is better but its the one mb recommends so im going with that. i didnt see the attachment either. i thought maybe only others can see it. i went to bottom of post screen to manage attachments. uploaded the file from my computer. dont know what happened. ??????
