Rear power window question w124

The passenger rear is stuck in the up position on my 87 300e. All switches and fuses are good. I removed the door panel and inspected. Saw a red wire spliced into the wiring from the regulator/motor asssembly. The wire comes into the door through the short black rubber piece at the door jamb and is spliced into the assembly wiring about 8 inches below the door switch. I am reluctant to unravel the electrical tape if this is an oem wire. Is this oem or something the PO did to tap into the power? It would be helpful if someone has a photo of how this is supposed to look. Thanks.
