What could the cause for the not being able to turn the ignition key to the start position? The key will turn thru position 1 & 2, but not position 3 (start). The car is in park and the steering wheel is not locked. I never know when this problem will happen. After the car sits for a few hours, the key will turn. MB dealer can't solve. Any help, please!!!!

Either the transmission handle or a security system.
