Will '78 300CD driveshaft fit '85 CDT?

I am about to purchase a used driveshaft for my '85 300CD Turbo. The used shaft is from a '78 non-turbo 300CD. Will it fit? The transmissions may be different (both are autos).

Thanks for feedback. I'd like to finalize this purchase today but need reassurance. This thing has to be shipped so returns are problematic.
