My 96 S600 groans when you turn the steering wheel. Sounds like it needs power steering fluid.
1. Can you use any fluid ewuivalent to GM or must I use Mercedes fluid.

2. Where is the power steering resevoir? Sounds like a silly question but you can not readily see it.

if possible use mb fluid, the reservoir is under the plastic star on the top front of the engine, carefully slide it towards you and pull up, you will see the cap there, if it is low there is a leak, try to get the leak fixed before the fluid damages rubber in the suspension or other areas.
