No start
I have a '83 SL500 that will not start, or atleast stay running. I put the jumper cables on it, and it fired right up. Once I took the cables off, it immediately died and would not restart. What is the problem?
Thanks, John |

John, sounds like you may need a new battery. Check the condition of the voltage regulator brushes. If they're worn down too far the alternator may not be recharging the battery properly.
