Angry ATTENTION MASTER TECH'S: Is my 2000 S500 ECU going nuts or what??

What a day!

After I came back from picking my car up from the window tinting place I brought the car home and everything was working fine.

The next day I started my car and I got some unpleasent surprises!!

I got these errors:
ABS light came on "BAS"
Electronic Stabilty Program "ESP"
Airmatic

PLUS
My drivers door controls won't work! (Windows, seats, mirrors, etc)

AND worst of ALL!!!!! When I turn the car on the shifter is LOCKED in park!!??

These errors all happened at the same time.
I checked all fuses and they're good.
I replaced the brake lamp switch with no avail on the park issue.

Is it time for a new ECU or what?

Question

Did they disconnect the battery??
Have you had codes read from those computer controlled systems?

They probably used a good amount of soapy water to apply the tint to the windows. I'll bet some of it wound up in the door control module. It wouldn't be the first time I've seen it happen.

Like Doc says, have the codes read for the other problems. What other work was done? Anything besides tinted windows? Maybe they checked the fuses when they realized the door controls weren't working and re-installed one in the wrong location. I've seen things like this happen as well. Let us know what happens.

Ok can you check my fuses for me??

I've included a picture of both engine compartment fuse boxes, would it be too much trouble to check them out??

From the angle in the picture it's hard to tell, but it looks like the 7.5 amp fuse is in slot #19. Try moving it to slot #16 and see what happens.

As the other members said...but mostly the water/liquid issue.
Have many with drinks spills causing these problems with shifter/interlock.

.....however, I am not suggesting someone took it for a drive later and spilt something ....this would never happen !
