Cutting off problem

I have a 1987 300E with a 150,000 miles on it. The car is having a problem that when I start it up it starts up with a slight hesitation and then revs fine but soon cuts off, and then has to sit for 2 minutes before it starts up fine. Any ideas?

I had a similar (but not exact) issue that appears to have been the fuel pump relay. It'd never stay not-running long enough to check anything, so I can't be sure. However, it's been over 1000 miles with no problems since I found and repaired a blown circuit-board trace in the fuel pump relay.
