Vacuum hose goes where?

I have a 2000 CLK 430 and need to know where on the engine to connect the vacuum hose from heater/ ac control unit. The hose goes thru the dash above the passengers right foot and runs along the inside of the right front fender almost to the right headlight where it has been cut off. I need to know where on the engine to hook it to. Thanks Jerry

there should be a connection coming through the center of the fire wall by the top center back of the engine. should be a gray vacuum line with a rubber vacuum hose, may look white

The hose on mine goes thru the fire wall clear on the right side near where the test connecter is. I do think it is gray but as my color vision isn't too good I am not sure. It then is run between the radiator tank and the right front fender. After that it was cut off. Lots of things on this car were messed up before I got it. Jerry
