mechanical locks dont work.. keyless entry= easy fix?

like the title says my mechanical locks work.. i dont have the original key the vacuum interlock system for the doors works perfectly i need to work out the trunk and fuel door but if i install a keyless entry do you think that will be an easy fix for the broken mechanical lock? ill eventualy get it fixed ( yea when the keyless entry fouls up)

circuit city has a keyless entry system for 60$ and it fits my w123 300D .. should i go for it.. it has a 4.0 rating out of 5.. i dont need to spent 300$ for an alarm keyless entry cheese grater combo

I have this exact same problem that recently cropped up. All locks work except the driver's door, which refuses to turn. PITA!

I was also thinking of going the keyless entry route but I'd have a backup solution by unlocking via the trunk, unlike you.

Good Luck
