antifreeze leak

73 450sl, Under the car I have noticed antifreeze all over. I have looked at all the hoses, front and rear, all were dry. Antifreeze is on the oil drain plug, on the steering box, I noticed some on a drain tube the one way up on the fire wall. Does this drain tube come from the heater box?
It almost looks as if it is being sprayed or the fan is blowing back under the car. I sure hope it is not a head gasket. Does anyone have any ideas?

Just a thought, do these engines have soft plugs or freeze plugs? And if so where.

Pressure check

You have to put pressure to the system and look around to where it is leaking. I had a problem with my 300D and found that when the system got hot and pressure build up, it would leak from the bottom hole in the water pump and when I would look for were it was coming from it wound look like it was coming from the bottom of the engine. I had to buy a pump that would add pressure to the system and that was how I found it. Prblem fixed.

Thanks for the reply. Pressure test sounds great. I have an air compressor now I need something to go over the resivoir fill to allow me to put pressure into the cooling system. Any ideas? I will assume that 10 - 15 psi should be enough.
