1985 300TDt Died - Help!

Hello,

I was pulling out of the parking lot from work after I had backed out of my parking spot and drove to the exit of the lot and pulled into the street and the car just stopped going. The engine was still running but it would not go. I pushed it off the road with some help and checked the tranny fluid. It was a little low but not too bad. I added tranny fluid and it still will not go.

When I move it from park to any of the gears and then back to park I hear the clicking sound like the parking pawl isn't engaged - as if the car was still rolling.

Can it be a flex disc? I got under the car with the brake on and the tranny in drive to see if the front section of the driveshaft was spinning and it wasn't.

Has anyone had this experience? I'm praying it isn't the tranny.
