Replace shutter in 722.6 shifter gate
Hello,
Can I replace the shutter (116) (jalousie, A129 267 00 26 ) in the shifter gate of a 722.6 without removing the whole shifter assembly? I have got the surround (133) and the top (95) off, but the next part (110) that hides the shutter (and that is at the same level as the part (101) where the numbers/letters (P,R,N,D,4,3,2,1) are) seems to be clamped really low down. Is the some way to release the part 110 from above? Without removing the whole assembly (3) br, syljua

I replaced mine in my 722.5, the selector indicator (P,R,N,D, Etc) It came off without removing the entire assembly, just the top portions, I know the 722.6 trans has the sliding cover that moves with the gear selector, is that what you are trying to replace? The selector indicator on my 129 came off with the top portion of the selector assembly. Good luck.

Yes, I am trying to replace number 116 in the picture. But 116 is under
part 110, and I do not know how to release that? As the image below (which I belive is a 722.5 shifter) show, that shifter model is done by removing part 80 and hence much easier, but not so on the 722.6. http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=431&stc=1 br, syljua
