Distributor Difference 190e ?

This post is a continuation of a prior post found at http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/tech-help/140669-190e-hard-start-starter-dies.html#post1049872 . I am trying to install a dizzy from a 1987 engine to a 1986 engine that was mounted to my 1987 190e. The 1986 engine in the car has a green wire from the Ignition Module to the Dizzy. The original Dizzy has no place for a green wire and is physically different in size/shape. The above thread shows suggestions to put the original Dizzy in the 1986 motor as a way to correct hard start problems due to timing issues. Why does the 1987 Dizzy not have a connector on it to accomodate the green wire? I am baffled!!!
