What do these scanned codes mean: 95 S280
The car after sitting a few weeks won’t start and I’ve narrowed the problem down to the injectors not working. I connected a scan tool and got the following results:
Code 10 in the Overvolt Protect System: Power supply pins 38, 15 and 34 contact not well, BM module box connected wire fuse F2 open. Code 10 in the BM system: Volts supply for fuel injectors interrupted. Other system codes: Code 104 MB-code 117: Attempt when starting syst performed with IF2 locked Stored codes: Code 15 MB-code 018 Throttle valve potentiometer drive value a little lower Code 18 MB-code 022 CC, EFP actuator signal in limp home mode Code 32 Fuel adaptation Lambda control mixture too rich (lean stop) Code 125 MB code 019 Potentiometer throttle valve drive loose contact Where do I find the BM module box connected wire fuse F2 and what does it mean when it says IF2 locked when attempting to start? What else should I check? Here are photos of the underhood modules: Close up: |

Never mind. I’ve found the problem. After a few minutes looking around on the WIS in the Fuel Injection and Ignition System section I found a paragraph as follows:
Vehicles as of 12/94 are fitted with an immobilizer stage 2. The immobilizer is now activated by the IRCL control module …. After activation of the immobilizer, the HFM-SFI control module deactivates the fuel injection system. The immobilizer can only be activated or deactivated by IRCL remote control. Opening and closing the car using the mechanical key does not affect the immobilizer…. I had the battery out of the car so I was using the mechanical key to lock and unlock it. Seems when I put the battery back in I should have locked and unlocked the car with the remote before trying to start it. It starts right up now. |
