I need a new set of tires for 2002 c240. I would like to go to a larger tire,but not sure If I must stay with same tire size or can I go to 17 inch tire. I notice the newer models have larger rim and wider tires.

realize if you go with a lower profile tire you'll lose some of the plush ride the C240 has.

I've ridden in a C320 with the bigger tires and wheels. It rides like crap. Even the owner was telling me she wasn't happy with the ride of the car. Said she felt every single bump in the road...

It can take a 17 inch wheel without problems. Obviously, the ride will be a little bit different.
