St. Louis, MO Mercedes repair center

There is a place in Brentwood, not that far from Highway 40 either, I believe the business name is Schwartz. Give them a call and see what they can do for you

Erwin Schwartz is on the corner of Brentwood and Manchester...he does M-B and Rolls/Bentley. I think he's retired but his kids Eric and Fred run the place. Great work, they know vintage cars, but have your checkbook handy, they're not cheap. GLB is on Big Bend north of 40, these guys seem to know M-B's too. There's another guy ooff Warson Rd south of Page, Star Service or omething along those, lines sho's supposed to be good. I work for Plaza so I just go there and get employee rates.

What Do You Need Done

I have had very good experiences with Gravois Radiator which has a general repair shop in addition to radiator service. Ask for Mike and get Bob to work on your car if you go there.

Perhaps you meant Watson Rd.

How are things at Plaza Motors?

I really did mean Warson, it's on a side street behind the old Kribs Ford City, south of Page. Plaza is a circus as usual, the new Lexus showroom and Mbz showroom are open, and they're spending tons of money to upgrade the whole dealership. I'm at the bodyshop and we're off the main campus, so it's nice to get over there occasionally to see what improvements they've made lately.

Maybe I'll stop in and say Hi the next time I'm visiting Dago Hill!

Dave and MrCJames,

Do either of you know an MB technician by the name of Mike Ferguson? He worked at Plaza for a long time and then moved over to Erwin Schwarz until about 8-12 months ago. I have been trying to locate him, but have been unsuccessful. We have stayed in touch for over 30 years and now he seems to have vanished.

By the way, I don't hear it called Dago Hill anymore. That is too politically incorrect in today's world. In any case, the Hill never changes. Great restaurants, great neighborhood. Solid as a rock.

Tom

I do not know Mike Ferguson but if he is in the area and he is an MB guy then it would stand to reason he is with a service center that would have a fair amount of MB work.

A toast: To the politically incorrect reference from yester year formally known as "D$#@ Hill" I would also like to propose a toast to the "let's not offend anybody restructuring committee as they work diligently at sifting through all comments and phrases determining whether they are inappropriate and or too sensitive for public use today!" Just imagine on the air today during prime time, Archie Bunker---HA,HA,HA----------the TV station would be liquidated of all of its assets by the judgment in favor of the offended plaintiff(s). Sorry, I'll jump down off the box now
