210 chassis power steering service
I ordered a filter for my power steering reservoir on my 210 chassis. I was surprised to get the hockey puck type filter identical to the one on my 240D. I took a look tonight and I don't see anyway that filter will fit in the 210 chassis and I don't even know if there is a filter for it. Anyone know? My plan right now to service the system is to just siphon out as much of the old fluid as I can and replace it with new MB fluid. I figure if I do this every 30,000 miles or so that the fluid will be plenty fresh.

There is Something Confusing Here
I have a 1997 E320. i went to the dealer parts guy and asked if there was a P/S pump filter. He says yes and sells me one (part # 000-466-21-04). When I go to replace it, I'm like you - can't see how it would fit. Next I go to the Electronic Parts Catalog the tech's use and it shows two different P/S pumps. One uses the filter. My kind, with the little dipstick, does not. Maybe somebody who works on the cars often can explain?
