trouble selecting right spark plug
Hi, I am doing a tune up on my 87 190e 2.3-16V and I came across some Bosch platinum 4's for it. Are these worth getting over the regular Bosch plugs? Is there really any benefit to them? I hear the claims that Bosch says that they are better, but I was curious what you guys think. Thanks.

Use only the brands of plugs with the proper part number recommended by MB. See thread in link. Spark Plug Replacement - ML320

Platinum plugs work on cars with really lean mixtures..& on engines that DON'T burn ANY oil. Best on electronic fuel injected cars with ODB2 (1996+ later).
Don't waster your money on those plugs in that engine..BERU Ultra-X are copper core plugs with 3 electrodes..Much better for older applications like yours.
