Coupe rear window; regulator or guide?
I only want to take this apart once if I can; the rear passenger window in my '82 coupe won't roll up or down and slides down a bit on its own; both the motor and switch are fine, that is, I get motor noise when using either the switch in the rear or the one in the console. Is it most likely a window regulator or guide? Or is the motor/regulator the same thing here? I've seen both referred to, so I'm not sure.

It is usually the regulator as I have a bad one in my 83CD and I took it all apart and found it was the regulator. The motor comes off the regulator. The motors are usually good. I replaced the regulators in both front doors and they work mint.

Guides are a pretty common failure and are far cheaper to replace than the regulator assembly. But you won't know until you can get to it and inspect.

and the regulators
may not be returnable on a coupe. if they are unique.
