Can you swap out the built in V60 phone

I have the built in V60 phone with voice command. Is there a way to swap out or modify the cradle so I can use my V551?

I tried calling Motorola but they have absolutely no clue. I was told they had a "hang-up" cup available but they were out of stock and they had no idea if or when they'd get more in. He didn't know what would have to be done to install it.

Should I go see a tech in a mobile phone store?

Your V60 has special software to enable it to work with your car.

A drop-in of another phone--doing nothing else--will not work.

You may be able to depending on the car.

That company makes retrofeit kits that will allow you to integrate the phone into the older systems. I am not sure on which car you want to do it on, however they are the people that have done it.

I did find some information on both a replacement hang-up cup for a V551 and also on a bluetooth interface at this site:

https://wireless4mb.com/handsfree.html

Unfortunately, they haven't answered my email and their 800 number doesn't work from Canada so I've been unable to find out if either of these solutions are workable.

The site justinwrock mentioned above doesn't support my car....
