Is it best to extra sealant on valve cover?

My valve cover is leaking oil in the rear on my 300CE 3.2. I've heard that it common. Would extra sealant in addition to new seal be a more permanent solution? What kind would do the trick? Any advice?

You shouldn't need any sealant on MB valve cover gaskets. If I used anything it would be the thinnest layer of a gasket sealer like the Permatex "Right Stuff".

Or Loctite 515 on both sides of the gasket.
