part number?

I have what i think is a fuel computer (0045453932) removed from an 87 420 SEL. I need to know the proper name for it and if it will go in an 87 560 SL. If so where is it located in the 560? Thanx.

the part number 004-545-39-32 is for 1987 and older 420 models only, will not apply to 560 models. the module is located in the kick panel on the passenger side lower panel area

What do you want for it? It will run the car though. I have a 420 in the shop that we ran off a 560 controller but we won't leave it as there will be some functions that are different. If you are just trying to see if the controller is the cause of some symptom. You might use it for evaluation.

The controllers are almost never the problem but we had one last week with no output, substituting the 560 one verified the controller as the problem as we then got EHA output back and had fuel control.
