2000 c230 cd palyer
As most may already know, the multi 6pack CD players tend to fail alot. I kept getting the "Magazine Empty" message, so I dissconnected and reconnected the unit to try and un-power and clear any faults if any.
Once installed back into the car, I now get a "NO CD Installed" on the head unit. I did notice that the one of the two connectors had two small LED's or some kind of light (glasss) source, and also the unit is electricity sensitive. Any suggestions? |

The flashing LED's are the fiber optic connecter, one red one clear. If the system was powered up with the D2B connector unplugged the head unit will have a fault code stored for the D2B Ring. I have replaced a lot of those CD Changer for that very problem.

cd connector cont.
Thanks I just reconnected the conector and now it does work, but I still get the "magazine empty" which has been happening since I bought the car. The cd changer worked great, untill I had played some rewritten cd's. Someone on this fourm suggested I clean the unit.

Mine did the same thing, i bought a magazine on ebay for 10 bucks. No problems since them. My son plays cd's that he has made with no problems. Sometimes the magazines just won't eject etc. or show the magazine empty
message. Try a new one.
