Hi everyone
I've a Mercedes E220, European, Model 1993. There's a part that the mechanic said I need to change since the engine turns off if I don't keep pressing on the fuel paddle. Honestly, I always prefer to check with this Forum before listening to any mechanic since there're really professional people here. I've attached pictures for this part. I've in fact 3 questions: 1) Does this part cause the above symptom? 2) What is the name of this part? 3) Does anyone know an estimate for such part? 4) Does anyone know a website that sells this part? I would appreciate any feedback The chase number of my car is WBD123021B939455 |

that is the throttle actuator, i was going to look up some information for you, but it appears you have provided an incorrect chassis number, the E220 is not a 123 chassis, but rather a 124 or 210.

Hi Carson
I've attached the 2 pictures for my car along with picture of the engine. I hope this will give you better idea. Note: Someone told me that I should not wash my car engine. So, is this true? And if there's a way to wash car engine, what is it? ![]() |

Here is a pretty good resource on engine detailing:
http://www.peachparts.com/diy/detailing/detailing.php?location=25 As long as you don't spray water directly at the electronics you should be fine. The m111 (like the m104) doesn't have a distributor to worry about so that helps.
