Popping sound

Hey guys,

I did a sharp "U" turn yesterday pretty quickly, causing left front suspension to unload a bit. When it did so, I heard a popping sound from left front wheel area.

Tie rods, drag link, steering damper, brake pads, rotors, struts, strut mounts, sway bar bushings, & motor mounts all are relatively new on my 1990 300E w/191K miles.

Any ideas as to what this could be ?

(ball joint?)

Check your strut mounts at the top. Mine were cracked. replaced them and wow what a difference. No more suspension noise under heavy turning and braking.
