I feel stupid asking this question, I just bought my 1st benz 2001 E320 and I cannot find hood latch it did not come with owners manual, need help!

Look UP from where your feet are normally placed while driving.
Should be right there ( you pull it DOWN to release the hood ).

gber320, the hood release is under the dashboard below the emergency brake release ... it should be a red lever ... hinged in front and pulls down. When you release the hood a black safety latch release lever will project from the grill ... pull it straight forward before lifting the hood or the release lever may break. Once the hood is open you'll notice a red tab on the right (passenger side) hood latch ... pressing it allows the hood to open nearly vertical so you can easily access the engine.
