Putting my 107 D & K jetronic problems aside, I've just completed a 595 mile round trip, MA-NJ, in a 1990 300E, 157,000 on the odometer.
The Good.............23mpg/90% highway driving.
The Bad................1 quart of oil consumed/expelled.
The not so Ugly......The car itself/$1,500 from my insurance broker. The dealer offered him $1,200 as a trade in. All systems work except the cruse control and 2 frozen lug nuts on the left front wheel.
My A-B transportation.
The body and interior is so-so, some cracked wood and surface rust.
What do you think?
Worth investing in a new head gasket?
How difficult is it to dyi?
How much to source out?
