1987 560sec
i don't know why i put this car up. but i did. for almost a year.
took it out again several weeks ago. such a nice bit of kit, as they say. mine is very cherry. white with blue leather interior. just turned 90k today. i laughed when i was accosted in the post office this afternoon. a woman older than i am grabbed me and asked what year was my car. taken aback, i asked her what car did she think i was driving. she said, that white mercedes coupe. i told her 1987. she responded, that's a beautiful car. i told her she had good eyes. and it is one of the nicest designs of the post war benzes. both the w126 sedan and the coupe are the best that bruno sacco executed. the last of the sports cars masquerading as...... i contrast this 126c with my 140c. night and day. i like them both. but the 126c comes closer to my lotus europa than the 140. |

My old man had a 380SEC and a 500SEC (at the same time) back in the 80's; I'm not ready yet, but I plan on owning a 560SL and a 560SEC in my "arsenal" someday.
The SEC has always been one of my favorites; long before my father even bought the 380SEC - which he loved so much he gave it to mom and bought the 500SEC a year later.
