Found the AT fluid low and dark. changed fluid and filter.
all is well for about 100mi.
yesterday wouldnt shift out of 1st.
checked fluid. low. added 1 Q. shifted fine.

appears there is a leak from the front seal.
is there directions anywhere on web for dropping transmnission and replacing seal?

There are plenty of posts on this very subject, some very complete
with needed tools etc.. Just search on 300D transmission.

Later when I have more time I'll try and dig up a few.

You should check into B2 piston too (again - use search).

If you see fluid leaking from the bell housing with the engine off, it’s the pump rubber o-ring that is
Leaking, Also change the front seal and bushing if you transmission has one. I would drive that car around for a while, to make sure it was low fluid, not shifting, before you remove the transmission.
