Check out this W140.. seems to need "a little bit" of work
![]() When even the auction house can't sell to any dealers and puts it on eBay instead, you know you've found a gem, right? ![]() Neal

Wow for $1k it would probably be a good parts car though.
I can never understand how people trash cars like that. ![]()

The engine doesn't run, but the AC "BLOW SOCLD." One presumes that this means that it also "blows cold," but how would they know? Same with the transmission. I suspect that they're taking the PO's word on what works and what doesn't.
It's already bid too high for what it is, at over 3K. |

With a car in such condition, even using it as a "parts car" is questionable. You could never know what works and what doesn't and if you used a part from that car and it didn't work you'd be stuck buying a new part anyway. In addition to that, I find it hard to believe that parting out a car in such bad condition could be profitable. I can understand parting out wrecked cars, ones that have minor/moderate front or rear damage but have the majority of the engine/interior intact (and presumably functioning prior to the accident) but this car is a DISASTER
![]() Its like you let a 5 yr old in there for a week to tear it up as much as possible. I can't even believe that some parts rate "good" or "excellent" on their description scale.

Shes got an M119 under the hood. The engine alone running is probably worth more then the currant bid.
I think for maybe $1k-$2k that thing would be worth every penny as a parts car. The glass alone is expensive. I just don't understand how people trash cars like that, I treat me beater SD better. ![]()

Its probably a good car to part out, and you dont know who is bidding on it. At 200K it probably has not had a good life

The sellers is dreaming look athe description!
![]() The mileage represented on this vehicle is accurate. This auto has aged well, has minor bumps and bruises (door dings), giving it some personal quality that you will be proud to own. The transmission may not be perfect, but the rest of the vehicle makes up for it. The engine should be checked. The overall condition of this vehicle's exterior is average and has some blemishes and defects, click the ask seller a question link to get the details. The interior is clean and polished looking. This vehicle has more than half the life left on it's tires. If you have any questions about this or any of my other auctions please feel free to contact me via e-mail by clicking here or you can call me at 7084390181. Thank you for your interest and I look forward to hearing from you. The trans is probably the cheaper part to replace on that thing. This car has one foot in the scrap yard, they should take $3k and run.

I would just take a wild guess and say it needs 80-90% of the following stuff done in the near future:
-Wiring harness -Complete tuneup -Front suspension rebuild -All 4 brakes -Evaporator core -Transmission The above list must be close to $10k worth of work...... Even to part it out, you need to buy it, move it to your current location (unless you're local, it will be harder to ship/move since it doesn't run) and then sell all the parts. You might have $5k into it by that time. What parts are you going to sell? Maybe some glass, a few body panels and the engine. I would think to actually make a profit and to make it worthwhile you'd need $10k of good usable parts on that thing. I certainly don't see that! Whoever said "it has one foot in the junkyard" was pretty accurate!

I'd only buy it if I could get it in my driveway for $2k. If you had a nice S420 that car would be a gold mine. Lots of little parts add up that you could borrow. Not to mention if someone hits you, you have good sheetmetal!
![]() Don't forget the interior is shot, looks like $5k their at least... I never made any money parting cars out, waste of time IMHO. But if you have one and need a little something here or there it adds up.
