Sharp heels and cold weather will break side sills.
Wife steped near the edge of the plastic sill and a piece cracked off on my 90 126. I think I am just going to glue it back on but be aware when the temps are real low.

I had the same thing happen to me. Part of mine chipped off so I got a replacement through a salvage yard. I got it and, believe it or not, it was cracked right in the middle. I just left it alone until I can run across another one.

Same thing here, eventualy I'll get a set of stainless ones and dress it up a bit.

door sills
I agree stainless steel door sills are pretty cheap, and they don't crack like plastic door sills.
