Actually it is a 300E euro CIS with 2.3 engine. Engine will start but will stall out on depressing the accelerator. Any suggestions.

Did you find out what the problem was with your car stalling after it was started? I just bought an 83 280SL(Euro), the car has not been driven for 5 years. The car starts but it stalls after running for 1-5 minutes.

This is a problem caused by either a throttle valve or faulty fuel injecters..

Ammarghazi thanks for the perfect suggestion, it is the throttle valve. I opened the throttle valve and the engine runs perfectly, I think the problem is the starting idle control. I need to figure out how to clean this piece. Again thanks for the diagnosis of my problem.
