closing assist pressure line end replacements?
Ok, heres a good one for all of yopu out there. What do you do when the seals in the plastic ends on the CA pump start leaking? I cannot find anyone at the dealer who knows, and I am sure that MB would not design this car so you have to replace the lines al the way to the doors! I gotta assume that somewhere out there in the parts network, the ends are avaliable for replacement, anybody know?!
By the way, the car in question is a 93 w140 600sel with 30k miles. Any help would be apreciated!!!..............JM |

Close pump ends
I cant believe your parts person, when the new style pump is installed as of 08/94, there is no manifold as was used on the older pump to plug in hoses. To adapt the newer pump a six way distributor is used, a two way, and some caps are used.
Any way the proceedure is to cut off the ends and slip the hose over the nipples, "sockets" are required (202 800 02 53 0) they have a hose nipple and the other end fits on the pump. The bulletin is 80/5 This might help Six yellow for (CL) central lock Two red for backup (BA) assist rods One black for trunk handle (RTG) One clear (MVA) vacuum assist Three gray orthopedic backrest (OSB) Two white for vacuum headrest(RHR)...you dont have |
