Which Expansion Tank Cap to Buy? 1.2 or 1.4 Bar? 1989 300E
Hello Everyone,
Long time no see! This spring break, next week for me, I plan to drive my car all week long! I miss it so much... But... it seems that my car has developed a leak at the neck of the expansion tank. I am going to replace the cap first, it is aged and is probably a good prevention item to replace. Now, my problem is... Which cap do I get? a 1.2 bar one or the 1.4 bar one? My car is a 1989 300E M103 Thank You

Either cap should work!
MB suggests that only the 1.4bar cap for the 1986 & later cars..BUT if you aren't having any problems..then the pressure will never open a 1.2bar cap!
