Tech question on M119 T.chain roll in
This question is for someone who has done a timing chain on a M119 400E.
I want to just roll in a chain, new tensioner and the guides. Question is which guides are replaced on this type of job. The one between the dual cam on each head for sure but any others? Really do not want to remove the front of motor. Some must wear faster(or dry out)than others. Thanks Rich

you must replace the upper guides which means taking off
the front head cover. these cause big problems. george |

Hi George,
Thanks for the reply. Looking at my MB disc i notice there are guides on the outside of the head (2) and on the inside of the head (2 on the inside of the v-8 vee) Taking off the upper head covers i should be able to sneak out these guides? Or only the outside one's? Do the cam gears need to come off? I ask because i cannot find these operations on my disc. Thanks for the response Rich
