What should my RPM's read at 65 mph?

My 1990 2.6,reads between 2,800& 3,000.rpm.16inch wheel and 215 50 tires.Cruise control engaged.Clauser 1.

the May1989 Road&Track issue shows the following max speeds in each gear of a 190e2.6:
1: 27mph @5300rpm 2: 58mph @6400rpm 3: 90mph @6200rpm 4: 129mph@5950rpm you can then calculate your rpm in 4th gear for a given speed from the last figure above. fyi, the power peak is at 5800rpm, and i guess that's the reasoning behind the 4th gear ratio. i dunno why the max engine speeds are not the same in the lower gears though. |

My 190 E 2.6 has the following that I have observed.
About 60mph 3000 rpm. at 70mph 3500 rpm at 80mph 3950 rpm as I recall. My brain is mush right now. I am a CPA and I am aging 10 years every year during tax season After 15 hour days . My 190 E has always got me to my clientson time.
