cd player location

I am in the market for a cd player.

I have an original radio in a 300ce 1989.

where have you installed your cd players in an E-Class.

I am considering a jvc 12 disk player RF modulator with wireless remote.

If in the trunk... mounted under the rear deck..or in one of the cubby holes on either side?

My 1998 E-Class came from the factory with the CD player in the trunk, which I think is common for most of these cars.

I installed a 12 disk JVC fm modulator in my trunk (91 300e) and attached it under the shelf. However the remote's signal did not reach the controller. So instead I had to extend the controllers cable and run it from the trunk to the dash, since the tuner is in the trunk. I had an electrician friend of mine find the right cable and solder each wire together.
