C230 Kompressor check engine light / vacuum leak?
Hello,
I own an '04 C230 Kompressor with 50k Km. The check engine light repeatedly lights up and the suspected cause is a vacuum leak somewhere in the fuel system. I get it taken care of and the first tank of gas I get, it relights. It is in the dealer for the third time for this. Has anyone experienced this, and if so, what was the fix? Thanks in advance. |

Quite possibly a canister purge valve or charcoal canister. Did the dealer show you any paper work with the technician findings (codes?). I will check for any DTB's for you.

Found a bulletin that might help (the technician at the dealer should have found this), what is the first seven (7) digits of your VIN#? This bulletin may or may not apply, you VIN will determine.
Anyway, you dealer should be able to perform this for you. www.theworkshopmercedesbenz.com/C230update.pdf |

Thanks for the reply.
They have the car so I will call them to get the VIN. I will also make them aware of the bulletin you referenced me to. Thanks again! |

It turned out to be the charcoal canister.
Thanks for the tip, you were right on the money! Thanks again, m. |
