Problem solved:

I started pulling off interior paneling and found a large wire connector disconnected on the left side of the center console. Even though the wires for left and right windows leave the console on their respective sides, at least some of them come back together again at this connector. The connector came loose when I was fishing wires up thru the panel for the vegoil switches and fuel gauge.
