stud that ICV mounts to is sheared off
My 1986 W126 420SEL has been dealing me fits, with stalling and weird operation below about 2000RPM's, and is getting worse. I decided to take a look at the ICV and see how tricky it would be to remove and clean...the bolt that it mounts to is sheared off and the ICV is moving around. The valve is still attached to everything it is supposed to be attached to, but what do I do to reattach it to the engine?

Glue ?
Just instal clamps on the hose ends...it really won't fall off. The rubber isolator/support are always breaking off. .

is the wiggling around contributing to my poor running? The stupid car died in an intersection today and I'm a little peeved.
