I have a 1989 mercedes 300 TE waggon. I'm trying to learn how to work on cars. The a/c in my car hasn't worked since I baught it a year ago. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I would move this to the technical discussion part of this website. Few posters on Open Discussion actually own cars. We're just here to kick the crap out of George Bush and offer marital advice.

True, you could alway drape a foil hat over the A/C compressor and re-evaluate A/C performance.
