v8 Firing order and...

I am new to forum, searching for general info on mercedes v8 and its crankshaft design/firing order for a personal project. Will return info here if interested , in exchange for the help. It is basically a computer animation. The www and searching the billionares search engine is (google-as usual) returning ridiculous stuff. I found this firing order:

MERCEDES - 1 5 4 8 6 3 7 2 #1 is on the drivers side (1,2,3,4)

I am hoping this is common on all mercedes gas v8?
Is the crankshaft similar to American Chevy v8(small block)?
Any help appreciated. My email is below.

ok thank you. I was hoping for a universal mercedes v8 standard vut they do change, or info I got is wrong. Are cylinders numbered odd-even (1-3-5-7) passenger side? or straight 1-2-3-4.
I did find v8 crankshaft design to be identical to that of GM. I will even use the same drawing to animate the mercedes, I just need to get common firing order and cylinder number placement to note further differences. I will be startled to find out if they aren't.

Ok, thank you very much. A bizarre question to most I'm sure, but does it run clockwise or counter-clockwise?(I shamefully can't find what I need on the web)?
